The best export setting is the one that your browser can encode, your intended player can read and your composition actually needs. Lyrical Video exposes export settings in one dialog and probes support rather than silently changing your selected resolution or frame rate.
Set resolution, frame rate and quality deliberately
Canvas dimensions determine composition; export settings determine the requested output. Match the aspect ratio to the destination and avoid increasing resolution merely to make the file look more professional. Small source images do not gain real detail when enlarged.
Automatic frame rate follows the project setting. Explicit choices retain their stated settings. H.264 video and AAC for audible audio must be supported by the browser at the requested configuration. A 60 fps choice is not a guarantee of fast encoding, hardware acceleration or universal device support.
- Review canvas dimensions and framing.
- Open the header export dialog.
- Choose a supported frame rate and quality.
- Read any resource or compatibility warnings.
Choose standard memory MP4 or direct disk output
Memory output creates a standard fast-start MP4 and downloads it. The complete encoded payload is retained in memory, so large exports can put pressure on the browser. This format generally offers broader player/editor compatibility than fragmented output.
Where the native file save picker is available, disk output writes a fragmented MP4 directly to your selected file. It reduces retained encoded media, but some players or editors may not accept fragmented MP4. Disk output still needs memory for decoded sources, textures and the full audio mix. It is not an unlimited-resource export mode.
Read elapsed and remaining time accurately
Elapsed timing begins after you finish the destination picker. Preparation loads assets and decodes/mixes audio before the encoder can establish useful throughput. Remaining time is estimated from recent frame encoding performance, including backpressure; it can change as scene complexity changes.
Finalization includes flushing encoders and committing the selected destination. Keep the tab available until completion. Cancellation stops new scheduling, but native decode, rendering or file-close work already in progress may take time. The selected user file is not deleted as part of cleanup.
Verify the saved file before publishing
Play the file in the intended player. Inspect first and last frames, a fast lyric phrase, a bright background passage and an audio overlap. An encoding success does not verify your spelling, rights or visual design.
If a disk-produced file is incompatible with a downstream editor, check whether that editor supports fragmented MP4. Select a standard memory export explicitly when appropriate and within your device resources; the studio does not automatically retry a failed destination as another mode.
Frequently asked questions
Does saving directly to disk make long exports use no RAM?
No. Disk output reduces retained encoded payload, but audio source decoding, the mixed soundtrack, GPU textures and codec allocations still consume memory.
